“Truck Lagbe” started its journey in October 2016 with the aim of modernizing the transportation system of Bangladesh. From the very beginning, Truck Lagbe has been making the process of hiring trucks easier for various businesses and general people through app updates. Some of the significant changes that have taken place in the freight industry over the last 3 years with the “Truck Lagbe” app are as follows:

In continuation of this, to make the current logistics system more efficient, the Truck Lagbe app has been redesigned. Let’s take a look at the features of this app which has been redesigned based on market feedback over the last few years:

User-friendly new design

The design of the app has been radically changed in the new update from the very beginning of the trip to the end of the trip. All the necessary changes have been made in the user interface of the app keeping in mind the needs of the users, which has made the app more user friendly.

Effortless Location navigation

There have been major changes in location navigation. Now you can easily select any place in the right way just like Google Map. Also important ports and locations are mentioned separately.

Also you can save your regular destination using the address bar so that you do not have to search for the same location again and again.

Multiple drop points

Many businesses have to deliver goods to 2-3 places on the same route, so it is necessary to select several locations at the same time. According to market data, about 12% of business trips have more than one drop point.

With this kind of need in mind, we have added multiple drop points in the new update. Now the shippers can add multiple drop points for loading or unloading the goods.

Opportunity to hire pickup at a fixed rate within Dhaka city

In case of transportation of goods, the determination of fares in the market has always been based on the demand. In other words, the cost of transporting goods from Uttara to Paltan today may increase tomorrow if the demand for pickups in the market increases.

So, many times hiring a pickup at a higher rate than needed has been a regular problem for a long time. But with this new version of Truck Lagbe app, the facility of hiring pickups at a fixed rate within Dhaka city has been introduced. From now on you can also hire pickups like bikes and cars at fixed rates.

Round Trip facility

Many times, after delivering goods on the same route, shippers have to come back again with some new goods. In such situations, finding a new truck is quite a hassle. That’s why if you can rent a truck for an up-down trip, this problem will no longer exist.

Hence, in the new update, the facility to book trucks for round trips has been added, and the fare of the round trip has been made consistent with the market rate. 

Hiring truck for the whole day

There is often a need to hire pickup for the whole day to meet various needs, including works for different projects, e-commerce, grocery delivery etc.

Now it is possible to meet this demand through the app. Anyone can rent a 7 or 12 foot pickup for the whole day from the app. However, at the moment this facility is only available in Dhaka City.

List of favorite drivers

“Truck Lagbe” always wants all product senders to get the best customer service. So in this new update there is an opportunity to save the driver of choice in the list. 

After completing the trip, if you like the service of a particular truck driver, you can save it in the list of preferred drivers. If you create a trip later, that particular truck driver will get priority to take the trip.

Similarly, if you do not like the service of a driver, you can block him. That driver will not be able to take any of your trips later.

The new update also adds a number of other options, including the ability to specify if the goods are overweight, to select longer or fragile product options, to ask for labor support etc – which will make the truck hiring experience more comfortable for shippers.
